Kids under 16 should have annual checks, and those wearing contact lenses need checks every 6-12 months. If you have diabetes or glaucoma, follow your optician's advice, which is usually every 6–12 months. If you notice any sudden changes to your vision, schedule an appointment immediately. 

  • Basic eye tests range from £25–£40 in Sevenoaks. Enhanced tests with OCT scanning run from £35–£85. Many people qualify for free NHS tests, including those over 60, under 16, and those with diabetes or glaucoma.

OPTOS captures 200-degree views of your retina compared to the 45-degree view of standard equipment. Slit lamp external eye examination and Visual Fields scans are also performed. As well as other examinations that may be necessary Most chains either don't offer these options or charge extra fees for them.
